  3. Not bad, but I wonder about leaving the magazines always filled. Springs get worn out that way.

  4. There's times I wished it was mine. Tim, that's a myth, the springs wear out from cycling back and forth, so storing them loaded is ok.

Leaving all those mags loaded means....there's likely a meat locker sized box someplace with empty ones ready to be filled when needed.

  10. Like several others - IF it was mine no one would know about it - much less take photos of it.

We know that it isn't either bobcostas or barryo's though!!

  11. I don't see any .308's, 12ga, or .22's there.

Unless they are all .223's to provide for all the members of his tribe or extended family.

    3. drjim,

It's and "AR-pattern" rifle. A man named Eugene Stoner designed a a series of rifles, one of that series was selected by the government and became the M-16. His design was first made by Armalite Rifles, hence the designation "AR". The civilian, semi-automatic, .223 caliber version is called the "AR-15".

That's enough information for you to go Googling if you want more.

    4. Yes, I know all that. I use the term "AR-pattern" rifle to indicate an AR and it's clones.

I've never heard the term "IR-pattern" rifle before.
