A Response To "Should You Believe What They Tell You or What You See? "

I linked this article in a previous post

My blog friend Leigh offers his thoughts:

Sometimes, I shouldn't drink and ponder the woes of our a keyboard. :-\
Well; life was a lot simpler when I thought I knew, what I knew. Commies were the bad guys, and my government was only interested in my happiness and well being. As I got older, I began to analyze things more – cast a more critical eye upon the world around me. Things started to make less sense. Social workers instructing people how to game the system. Laws aimed at the “criminal element”, then realizing that in the vague wordings of the law made me the criminal. A justice system that protected the powerful, and the famous; yet hunted the ordinary man for the least infraction. Onerous taxes levied against those who worked the hardest for their living, by an agency that ultimately has no actual legal standing to impose such tariffs. Police went from being Andy Griffith, to Judge Dredd in the span of two decades; serve and protect got replaced by revenue bounty-hunters. Politicians now just outright lie to your face, then dare you to try to do something about it – sorry, it wasn't a just depends on what your definition of “IS”, is.
Ignorance truly is bliss, because I wouldn't be so pissed off and dejected at the sorry state of affairs that is consuming the world.

I never was a trend follower, so the trappings of popular culture never really got their claws into me. More or less, being a loner all my life ( my definition of loner, is someone who doesn't require approval of the masses to validate their self worth), I never felt the urge to tell the whole world my every action. Therefore the influences of “social” media were never really a factor in my life. Besides, I've always had a built in bullshit detector. After learning how to pay attention to it, I began to realize when I was being steered.
When I am being spoon fed a narrative, the alarms start going off.

You want something to point at? Especially in the education system? How about some of the classic pieces of literature that aren't covered anymore – or out-right banned?
Fahrenheit 451...
Animal Farm....
Huck Finn....
Atlas Shrugged.....
They don't cover these works anymore, because they cast the events of today in the light they were intended. TPTB can't have the Prole's figuring out that what is happening is not only wrong, it is in many instances evil at its very core. So they jam a standardized curriculum down everyones throat, and that standard is mediocrity. No one is allowed to be better than anyone else. Lest some tender flower get their feelings hurt. Social justice for all. Excellence be damned.
Carlin was right, they only want people smart enough to run the machines but not so smart that they realize what is happening around them.

I was heart broken on 9/11.....but I really wonder what exactly happened that day. I don't consider myself a truther, but I also can't swallow everything that I have been told either. The first red flag for me, was the sudden appearance of the PATRIOT Act. A four inch thick document just miraculously appears overnight? Yeah, I doubt it. Then the reports start coming out about domestic surveillance, and how anyone who doesn't subscribe to the party line is a terrorist. The exponential ratcheting up of the militarized police state, illegal searches, Constitutional violations, no accountability..... The recent laws passed to supposedly reign in the warrantless collection of data, got amended to make it just the opposite. Instead, it made all communications essentially the property of the government – so it isn't illegal for them to collect and sift through them now. One lawyer that analyzed the law commented that it was so vague that ANYTHING that MIGHT be construed as Communication falls under the jurisdiction of the alphabet soup agencies – no warrant required, whether it be in your phone, computer, et al.....
When you look around and the barbed-wire and guards are all facing in, you realize it isn't there for your protection

When I look around ZeroHedge, and see how badly the markets are manipulated EVERY DAY, it really makes you wonder if they think we are that stupid. Each bubble in the market gets propped up by the next one, and so on, and so on.
(LOOK, a squirrel! Pay no attention to the T-Rex!)
Then the news tells you how great the employment numbers are. In the next breath says labor participation rates are the lowest they have been since the Depression. If the rate is only 63%, then it stands to reason that the Unemployment rate is closer to 40% than 6%.
At this point there are 1.4 moochers and looters for every producer. How much further does it have to slide before it collapses, because there aren't enough people for the State to bleed dry?
But that is another benefit for the State, no one questions the numbers, 'cause maaf is hard! So hard in fact, that we have to spend more money than we take in, to keep the economy solvent...... WHAT?!?!?! You have got to be f'kin shitting me! No sense being fiscally responsible, just whip out the ole Gov't credit card and roll up another Trillion of debt from our enemies. What the hell, right? What could possibly go wrong? We'll just print another couple ton of Monopoly Money, out of thin air, and pay it all off.
Which makes you wonder – at what point do Zimbabwe Bucks out-value our own?

I know you asked for my take, and I'm afraid what you got was a rant , parallel to an article I almost wholly agree with.
I do disagree with his assessment of the Ebola outbreak, I believe it is dangerously under-reported and far worse than they want us to believe.
The use of constant fear mongering is straight out of 1984; but the 15 minute hate, is in fact, constant. People are afraid. They are angry. We are purposely being divided to keep us weak.
Money is hedging its bets with tangible goods – gold, silver, land, etc. So far 36 (more?) prominent bankers have met with violent ends, in just this year alone – for what reason, and to what end?

The fed asking for bids for “Survival kits for bankers” ......
The unrelenting appetite of the fed for all manner of ammunition and weapons......
The fed buying up “survival food”.......
The pre-positioning of vehicles and equipment to every corner of the country.......
The signing of un-Constitutional treaties with the UN.......
The fed doing trial runs shutting down cell transmissions and internet sites......
What is being prepared for?

Somebody, somewhere, thinks they've got it all figured out. That all they have to do is push that first domino, and all the others they so carefully placed will perfectly fall in line.
The problem with a perfect plan is: no plan is perfect.
What's the old saying?
“The best laid plans of mice and men.....”
Well; of mice, anyway.....

I liken it to a fat, spoiled, arrogant little kid sitting in a puddle of gas, playing with a lighter. Nothing could ever go wrong.
Then it does.

Something bad is going to happen. I'm afraid it could be soon. The cusp of the next Dark Age, if you will. When it starts, it is going to spin out of control and consume everything in its path. I don't care how well people think they are prepared, they're not.
It'd be nice to think it would end up as a total reset of the Republic, but I sincerely doubt it.

Saturday Work Out...

I think this would be wonderful if I could get one for myself that projected a hologram of

" If this is what Protect and Serve means I wouldn't want this Chief or Officer near me."

I realize that tough decisions have to be made and it is easy to say what should have been done etc., but the comments from Chippewa Falls Police Chief Wendy Stelter only adds insult to injury. To paraphrase, she basically said, "well, at least the officer completed his shift and went home safely".

What Do You Think?....Should You Believe What They Tell You OR.....

...What You See?

I read this article last night and again this morning. There is definitely a disconnect somewhere in what is going on in this country. Some of the people that I can and choose to discuss things like this with feel the same way. What are your thoughts after reading this?

Here is the first paragraph:

Sometimes I wish I could just passively accept what my government monarchs and their mainstream media mouthpieces feed me on a daily basis. Why do I have to question everything I’m told? Life would be much simpler and I could concentrate on more important things like the size of Kim Kardashian’s ass, why the Honey Boo Boo show was canceled, the Victoria Secret Fashion Show, whether I’ll get a better deal on Chinese slave labor produced crap on Black Thanksgiving, Black Friday, or Cyber Monday, fantasy football league standings, the latest NFL player to knockout their woman and get reinstated, Obama’s latest racial healing plan, which Clinton or Bush will be our next figurehead president, or the latest fake rape story from Rolling Stone. The willfully ignorant masses, dumbed down by government education, lured into obesity by corporate toxic packaged sludge disguised as food products, manipulated, controlled and molded by an unseen governing class of rich men, and kept docile through never ending corporate media propaganda, are nothing but pawns to the arrogant sociopathic pricks pulling the wires in this corporate fascist empire of debt.

Why I Blog...

There are lots of reasons I blog.

All the awesome people and sites that are on my sidebar.

The many people that I have shared emails and links with from across the globe.

Enjoying the sites that I peruse, whether it's funny cats, boobs or news articles.

But mostly, when I receive emails like the one below from one of my readers.

I guess I have lots of lurkers that enjoy my little sophmoronic postings.

I get these once in awhile and it makes it worth it:

I will be starting a blog soon... I am a news junky and Tea Party guy, I believe I saw your blog while reading through either one of these 4 sites: Gateway pundit or Free Republic.  It may have been weezlezips.  The best part about your blog is that it is a respite from the hardcore news we face everyday being in the Know if you will. 90 miles from Tyranny is the same as while I decompress during lunch I rifle through drudge, weazle, FReep and then hit your site And Michelle's mirror before I get back to work. I manage a small team of Inside Sales reps.  We are all conservative except for a few folks.  You do a great job with the ladies (married here with two kids) and you have a great eye for photography.  I share the pet pics with my wife as we have a lab and a cat.  Great site that I will share with my beleaguered Capitalist colleagues as we fight the communists day in and day out!  Lol ... I will forward you news if I see it as I send stuff to Zip also.  Take  care.

Thanks to all of you that stop by and enjoy The Feral Irishman!!

Executive Order requires each Secretariat to address environmental justice

CHELSEA – Tuesday, November 25, 2014 – Governor Deval Patrick today signed an Executive Order requiring Secretariats to take action in promoting environmental justice.
“Today we reaffirm our commitment to providing the whole Commonwealth with better quality of life through parks, open space and sound environmental policy,” said Governor Patrick. “This Order will ensure these principles are integrated into decision making across state government.”
The Patrick Administration has made it a priority to direct robust park and open space investments toward environmental justice neighborhoods and to promote programs and policies that increase park equity.
“Governor Patrick’s dedication to ensuring open space in urban areas is unprecedented,” said Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Maeve Vallely Bartlett. “At EEA, we have worked to implement that vision with targeted investments in Gateway Cities and urban neighborhoods across Massachusetts.”

The Executive Order requires the following actions:
  • The establishment of a Governor’s Advisory Council to advise the Governor and Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary on Environmental Justice Issues.
  • EEA is required to update its 2002 Environmental Justice Policy within 60 days
  • Each Secretariat is required to appoint a Secretariat Environmental Justice Coordinator within 30 days. The Coordinator shall review Secretariat programs to determine which programs implicate Environmental Justice issues.
  • Secretariats are required to post their Environmental Justice strategies online within 180 days.
  • The Director of Environmental Justice is required to periodically convene the Secretariat Coordinators to meet as the Interagency Environmental Justice Coordinating Group.
EEA Secretary Bartlett appointed a Director of Environmental Justice, Michelle Reid, as part of Governor Patrick’s Women in the Workforce Initiative in September.

Meanwhile Down South....

A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out
of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph,
enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left.
"Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-95, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a Florida State Trooper, blue
lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110,
then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this!"
and pulled over to await the trooper's arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper got out of his vehicle and walked
up to the Corvette. He looked at his watch, then said, "Sir, my shift
ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a new reason
for speeding--a reason I've never before heard -- I'll let you go."

The old gentleman paused then said: "Three years ago, my wife ran off
with a Florida State Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.

"Have a good day, Sir," replied the trooper.

The owner of a golf course in Georgia was confused about paying an invoice, so he decided to ask his secretary for some mathematical help.  He called her into his office and said, "Y'all graduated from the University of Georgia and I need some help. If I wuz to give yew $20,000, minus 14%, how much would you take off?"

The secretary thought a moment, and then replied, "Everthang but my earrings."

A senior citizen in Louisiana was overheard saying ... "When the end of the world comes, I hope to be in Louisiana ." When asked why, he replied, "I'd rather be in Louisiana'cause everythang happens in Louisiana 20 years later than in the rest of the world."

The young man from Mississippi came running into the store and said to his buddy, "Bubba, somebody just stole your pickup truck from the parking lot!"

Bubba replied, "Did y'all see who it was?"  The young man answered, "I couldn't tell, but I got the license number."

A man in North Carolina had a flat tire, pulled off on the side of the road, and proceeded to put a bouquet of flowers in front of the car and one behind it. Then he got back in the car to wait. A passerby studied the scene as he drove by, and was so curious he turned around and went back. He asked the fellow what the problem was.

The man replied, "I got a flat tahr." The passerby asked, "But what's with the flowers?" The man responded, "When you break down they tell you to put flares in the front and flares in the back. I never did understand it neither."

A Tennessee State trooper pulled over a pickup on I-65. The trooper asked, "Got any ID?"  The driver replied, "Bout whut?"

The Police pulled up next to the guy unloading garbage out of his pick-up into the ditch. The officer asked, "Why are you dumping garbage in the ditch?  Don't you see that sign right over your head.

Yep, he replied. "That's why I'm dumpin' it here, 'cause it says: 'Fine For Dumping Garbage'

Ya'll can blame "Murray" for those, he emailed them to me.

Hey Wirecutter, You Need One Of These For The Warehouse...

Put Those Away, It's Not Humpday Yet.....

3 Lawyers and 3 Engineers....

Three lawyers and three engineers were travelling by train to the same meeting. At the station, the lawyers each buy a ticket but the engineers buy just one. When asked why, the engineers coyly said “You’ll see.”

They all board the train, the lawyers taking seats, but the three engineers all crowding into the bathroom. After the train has left, the conductor comes around and takes the lawyers tickets and knocks on the bathroom door and says, “Ticket Please.” An arm stretches out from the bathroom and the conductor takes the proffered ticket.

The lawyers were very impressed. On the return trip, the lawyers proposed to emulate the engineers and bought only one ticket. To their amazement, the engineers bought no ticket at all. When asked, the engineers said, “You’ll see.”

All board the train and the lawyers and engineers cram into separate bathrooms to await the conductor. After a few minutes, one of the engineers emerges from the bathroom, goes over to the lawyers bathroom, knocks on the door and says: “Ticket please.”

Two Prawns

Far away in the tropical waters of the Coral Sea, two prawns were swimming around. One was called Justin and the other, Christian.

The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area.

Finally one day Justin said to Christian, 'I'm fed up with being a prawn. I wish I was a shark, and then I wouldn't have any worries about being eaten.'

A large mysterious cod suddenly appeared and said, 'Your wish is granted.'

Lo and behold, Justin instantly turned into a shark.

Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his old mate.

Time passed (as it does) and Justin found life as a shark boring and lonely. All his old mates simply swam away whenever he came close to them.

Justin began to realize that his new menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight. So, while swimming alone one day he saw the mysterious cod again and he thought perhaps the mysterious fish could change him back into a prawn.

He approached the cod and begged to be changed back, and, lo and behold, he found himself turned back into a prawn!

With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes Justin swam back to his friends and bought them all a cocktail.

Looking around the gathering at the reef he realized he couldn't see his old pal.

'Where's Christian?' he asked.
